The Pastor
Prof. Onafowokan O. OLUYOMBO (First Professor of Financial Accounting in Nigeria) is the Lead Pastor, Global Citadel of Christ [GCC], and the Friday weekly online Supernatural Encounters Prayer [SEP]. He served in different locations and capacities for 28 years with NTLM including his last assignment as the Lead Pastor, NTLM Mega Church, Lagos.
A man graced with the prophetic anointing for teaching, also endowed with uncommon supernatural acts of God in divers healing, miracles and wonders. He is the author of My Star Must Shine, and Uncommon Favour.
Pst.(Prof.) Oluyombo is the First Professor of Financial Accounting in Nigeria, and the pioneer Head, Department of Accounting, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria from 2015 to 2021. He holds a PhD from the Department of Accounting and Finance, De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom, where he won the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria PhD Research Grant. His academic progress include studying at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Lead City University, and University of Nigeria for B.Sc., MBA, M.Sc. (Accounting), and M.Sc. (Banking and Finance). He qualified as a Chartered Accountants in May 1992. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), and an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI).
Oluyombo was the Best Academic staff of the year 2012 at the Redeemer’s University, and the year 2009 recipient of Redeemer’s University Vice Chancellor Hero Award. A former Managing Director of Redeemer’s University Business Consult Limited, and former Editor, Redeemer’s University Journal of Management and Social Sciences. He won the Redeemer’s University Research Grant on microfinance in 2011. He also consulted for United Nations Population Funds in Turkey, Serbia and Egypt on Y-Peer Education Project as an international evaluator (2008), and German Institute for Development Evaluation on Structure Fund as National Expert for Microfinance in Nigeria (2019).
He is a renowned researcher, scholar and prolific writer with scholarly publications in reputable journals. His other books are: Specialised Accounts; Financial Accounting With Ease; Fundamentals of Finance, Money and Banking; Research Companion for Students and Professionals; Non-Interest (Islamic) Banking: Principles and Practice. He also edited two international books namely: Cooperative Finance in Developing Economies; and Cooperative and Microfinance Revolution.
